Megan Jamieson
Family Law Lawyer
Megan Jamieson is an Associate at Morrison Williams Professional Corporation who practices exclusively in the area of family law. Megan has experience in all areas of family law, including property division, child and spousal support, and parenting (custody and access).
Megan obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology with Highest Distinction. She thereafter attended Law School at the University of Ottawa, where her passion for family law was solidified after being a finalist in the Walsh Family Law Moot.
During her studies at the University of Ottawa, Megan assisted self-represented litigants with the preparation of their court documents at Law Help Ontario; facilitated the launch of Law Help Ontario’s Wills Project; co-authored a legislative framework on the use of student essay mills for the International Center for Academic Integrity; and interned at Ontario Power Generation where she assisted senior counsel with legal research and drafting.
Following her graduation from law school, Megan articled at a prominent boutique family law firm in the Greater Toronto Area. She returned to the Firm as a Family Law Associate where she would practice for more than three years prior to joining Morrison Williams.
Megan is committed to advocating for her clients though both negotiation and litigation. In her first year of practice, Megan conducted a family law trial in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She also represents clients in both mediation and arbitration. Megan is committed to protecting her clients’ best interests and her practice prioritizes practical and cost-effective resolutions.
